Facebook went down for 6+ hours

Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp went down for 6+ hours

Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp went down for 6+ hours

It's been a rough day for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp users. The social media giant has had its services down for six hours now, with no sign of when they will return. All four platforms are experiencing some sort of difficulties that have users unable to access them on their phones or desktop computers. It's unclear what is causing the problem but it seems fairly widespread across all four platforms as well as different parts of the world.   This isn't the first time Facebook has experienced outages--the company reported an outage in March 2018 which lasted about 2 hours, and another outage in October 2017 which lasted less than an hour. So far there doesn't seem to be any indication this one will stop anytime soon either, so if you

What caused the outage and how did it affect people's lives

The internet outage on October 21, 2016 was a worldwide event that caused chaos in people's lives. It started when Dyn, a domain name service provider, was attacked by an unknown entity and the attack disrupted access to many websites including Twitter, Netflix and Reddit. Although it is unknown who attacked Dyn or why they did so, the impact of this attack has been felt for days afterwards as some sites like Amazon were also affected.   This blog post will discuss what happened during the outage and how it affected people's lives.   We'll start with what caused it: The cause of interruption in services stemmed from a Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attack against Dyn Inc., which provides Domain Name System (DNS)

How to stay in touch with friends and family during a social media blackout

A blackout is a great way to detox from social media, but it's still important to stay in touch with friends and family. Here are some creative ideas for staying connected during a blackout:

1) FaceTime or Skype your loved ones.

2) Send postcards.

3) Text messages - not only can you text people who don't live nearby, but it also keeps the lines of communication open with those who do live close by.

4) Call someone on the phone instead of texting them (remember that old-fashioned technology?) You'll get more information out of the conversation than you would out of a string of texts!

The pros of social media

Social media is a powerful marketing tool. It allows you to connect with your customers on a more personal level, and in turn grow your brand's following. In this blog post I'll be going over the pros of social media marketing.

-Social Media Marketing helps brands reach out to new audiences by targeting specific demographics online using hashtags, keywords, and location data.

-The use of visuals can help make posts stand out from other content on the web which typically includes text only or images alone without words.  -It’s easier for consumers to engage with brands through social media channels because they are already spending time there every day! Social Media Marketing does take up some serious time though so it’s important not to

The cons of social media (excessive use)

Social media can be a great tool for marketers, but it is important to take the time to evaluate its effects on your brand.  As social media has risen in popularity, so have concerns about how detrimental it may be to one's mental health. This blog post will explore some of the possible ill effects that social media use may have on brands and individuals alike.

Why you should be careful about what you post on the internet

"It's no secret that the internet is a global marketplace. It connects people from all over the world, giving them access to information they could have never imagined before. However, there are many things you should be careful about when it comes to what you post on this now-global platform."

"The last thing you want to do is put yourself in a position where your personal or professional reputation can be tarnished because of something silly or stupid posted online."

"Whether it's through social media, blogging sites like WordPress, or even just emailing back and forth with friends- everyone has an opportunity for their words to spread quickly across the globe if given the chance."
